We love making connections between individuals, communities and projects. We organise free trips to visit growing projects, some of which provide the veg in our veg boxes, so that we can see where food is grown locally and what’s possible. As well as Growing Workshops & Community Cook-alongs we have also collaborated on Farm & Feasts (where we enjoy being cooked a delicious meal from farm produce), and even enjoyed walking over the Downs to visit a farm near Lewes.

All our events are free for residents of Moulsecoomb, Bevendean and surrounding estates. We do our best to make them accessible, please let us know if you have any special requirements and we will see what we can do.

Upcoming Events

19th of December - 9.30am-2pm - a Winter Trip to 'Rock Farm’ - with a wreath making workshop

Join us to explore Rock Farm in winter and be inspired by what can grow through the cold and frosts. The trip will include a wreath making workshop led by Nikki, with all natural materials, to get us in the Christmas spirit. As always there’ll be a delicious vegetarian lunch featuring some produce grown on site, it’s always so nourishing and tasty with plenty to go round, a joy to eat together.

Details:

Minibus leaves Moulsecoomb Hall at 9.30am, arriving back around 2pm (sometimes a little later depending on traffic)

The trips are free for residents of Moulsecoomb, Bevendean & Bates Estate and include transport and lunch. If you live outside of these areas, do get in touch as if there’s space we would be happy to welcome you, a donation towards the trip is always helpful.

To book: email verylocalfoodhubs@gmail.com and we will get back to you with the info.
