Celeriac (pronounced suh-leh-ree-ak)
This week’s wildcard is celeriac. Another nobbly looking root veg with it’s own distinct flavour. We know it looks a bit intimidating from the outside but it’s surprisingly sweet and earthy flavoured on the inside. It does take a minute to peel, we understand that, but give it a try. It can be eaten raw or cooked. One of our favourite ways to have it is to thinly slice (or grate) it raw and mix with oil, salt & lemon and some fresh herbs OR it makes a cracking soup!
Celeriac may not be a traditional roast dinner veg but you can definitely impress friends & family with trying out a few new dishes; maybe it will make an appearance on your dinner table this Christmas.

Celeriac steak - yep, you heard us! You can cut a thick slice of celeriac and recreate this dish that gives the celeriac an almost meaty texture.
